Workshop: Introduction to Elm

Are you tired of testing for run-time errors? Do you want to use your FP skills for something you might actually use in production? Do you want a compiler that acts more as a helpful assistant? Well, then you want Elm! Elm is a delightful language for making websites/webapps. It compiles to JavaScript, so you'll never have to write HTML, CSS, or JavaScript again! This introduction will start with a small presentation about Elm (what it is, the good and the bad, etc.), followed by some basic exercises to get you started, so bring a laptop. This introduction is intended for people with basic knowledge of Haskell (no monads or anything, don't worry), so it might not be ideal for first-year students. If you want to know more see: https://elm-lang.org/ .

We hope to see you there!
