Are you secretly using WhatsApp to share your code? Or is your latest homework assignment in main-final-version-without-bugs.cpp? You've probably heard about Git. Git is the *de facto* industry standard for a *version control system* and, at the risk of brutal honesty, you can't call yourself a real computer scientist if you're not using it. With Git you can track changes to any programming project, backup and restore to previous versions and synchronize your code to flawlessly work together with others. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of using Git: making commits, pushing to and pulling from GitHub or Gitlab and the basics of working with branches (merge conflicts and rebasing will probably not be discussed). After this workshop, you'll have all the skills needed to immediately start using Git in your own projects, making collaboration easier and your code management more professional.
