Next year is Thalia's 7th Lustrum and that is why we are organising a skiing trip that all members of Thalia can join! The trip is completely at your own cost and no money of Thalia will go towards it, which is why it might seem a little bit expensive, however it is certainly worth it.
We will be going to El Pas de la Casa in Andorra, which has 210 km of piste and something to do for everyone after skiing, ranging from parties to chilling in calm bars. The trip will take place in the first lecture week of semester 2. This is from the 23rd to the 31st of January.
The estimated price of the trip will be 700 euros which includes the accomodation for 8 days (you can view the accomodation here), a 6 day skiing permit and travel by bus from the Netherlands to Andorra. However it is possible to also buy additional skiing lessons and material which may increase the price depending on the individual.
These optional additions consist of a range of different skiing and snowboard gear, aimed towards beginners (€99) up till experts (€150). More information can be found on the following site https://enterthesnow.com/nl/optioneel/ (Sadly, only a Dutch version is available, so please use a translator if you cannot speak Dutch). Also you can book skiing lessons, priced at €150, or less depending on how many people sign up, for 3 days (3 hr per day). These lessons are given by Vincent van 't Hof, a Thalia member!
If you are interested in going on the trip, you can register for this event from the 9th of June until the 22nd of June. After the 22nd of June you are no longer able to cancel and being registered will then confirm that you are joining on the trip.
Some time after registering for the trip, you will also receive a contract you need to sign otherwise you are not able to join on the trip. The contract looks like the one that is required to be signed for the study trip.
Please note that if there are too little registrations, the trip might be cancelled. However you will then obviously also not be charged!
