Still zipping up your project folder and sending it to your group members over WhatsApp? It's time to stop that. Git is the industry standard version control system used by basically every software company out there, and if you're studying computer science, it's something you really need to know. In this workshop Job Doesburg will teach you all the basics: making commits, pushing to and pulling from GitHub or GitLab, and working with branches. Git will also come in handy during your studies, for example in the Research and Development Project in your first year or any later course that requires cooperation. After this workshop you'll be ready to start using Git in your own projects right away!
