Last academic year we had our first sustainability in computing science meet-up and it was a great success with lively discussions and new connections and ideas. As everybody was excited for a follow-up, we are hereby inviting you to our second event on the 5th of March at 16:00 in Mercator on the ground floor.
At this meet-up we will hear Mark de Jong presenting the research results of his Bachelor thesis, "Exploring sustainability in the computing science bachelor’s at Radboud University". More specifically, he will present results from interviews of teachers in our department about their opinions and insights into the current situation of sustainability in computing science and what they think the future of this should be. The conclusions and constructive advice of this presentation will be used for an open discussion round afterwards where we hope to take a step towards bridging the gap between students and teachers in these developments.
We invite both students and teachers to bring any of the questions you may have about sustainability in computing science or sustainability in education, we would be happy to see whether we can either answer them in this meeting, use them for a follow-up meeting or be helpful in any other way. The event will of course again provide some free drinks and snacks.
