The Benelux Annual Programming Contest will be on October 28th this year in Amsterdam, but you gotta make it through the preliminaries first! Thalia is organizing the preliminaries on September 23rd, and the top teams can go through to the BAPC.
Do you want to try out your algorithm design and programming skills? See if you can beat your fellow students? Learn a lot from interesting problems? Work your way up to the programming "world cup"? In five hours, teams with a maximum of three members solve as many algorithmic problems as possible, after which the best scoring teams may participate in the finale (and afterward maybe on to the North-West European and maybe even the global finale).
It will take place in the Huygens building and it will start at 10:00 and end around 20:00. This timeframe includes a test session to make sure the technology works correctly. The languages that are allowed are C, C++, Python and Java.
A more detailed schedule will follow the days prior to the event. Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided. There will be opportunity to order food with Thalia to De Professor (not for free), to eat all together at 18.00 and afterwards present the resuts.
Any team of 3 Radboud students can register, not just Thalia members. If you have your team ready, one person should fill in your names, team name, and study program in this form. The registration deadline is the 21st of September at 23.00h!
