Come visit the inhouseday with ING! We will start the day at Mercator where you will be brought to the ING office in Amsterdam by bus. In Amsterdam there will be a day with lectures, meeting ING staff and of course a lunch and borrel. In the afternoon we will divide the day in three interest groups: Software Science, Data Science and Cyber Security. Please mention your preference during sign-up and we will try to accomodate. After the day is over you can return to Nijmegen by train (from 16:00). Everyone with student-ov should be able to travel for free.
Want to get a real inside in IT at ING?
In IT you deal with every aspect of the bank. For example, cyber security, the app or data engineering. Help with the groundwork for many of our innovations. Would you like to find out what you can do with your study topics in a bank?
Come join our IT inhouseday on October 7th at the head office in Amsterdam.
The day is filled with inspiring colleagues and interesting cases where you can sign up for. Don’t forget to bring your laptop as you will need it for the workshop. Before the workshop you are invited for a nice lunch and after that we will have drinks together with trainees and other colleagues.
Pick your own direction
After the lunch you decide which workshop you want to attend. It is required to bring your laptop to participate during the workshop. You can sign up for one of these departments below:
In this track you get an introduction about the way ING develops software and which challenges this brings. After that we explain how we improve ourselves with our Technical Leadership program and also show the result of an example student internship at ING. After that you pick a topic from the ING Tech Radar and in small groups discuss about a research proposal to explore the value of that topic for ING. Perhaps this can become your internship at ING? ;-)
What do security researchers, hackers, defenders, threat hunters, cryptographers, forensics investigators, and open-source intelligence analysts have in common? They are all part of the upcoming ING’s cybersecurity workshop. Join us to compete for the title of the King/Queen of the Mountain! Fun and hands-on, with prizes to be won!
Are you up for a challenge where you will identify customers who experience financial difficulties via Machine Learning? Are you curious about how we do Data Science in ING?
In ING Collections, we are here to help customers when they experience financial difficulties. In this challenge, we will try to identify the risky loans and the customers with financial problems.
First, we will build a baseline machine learning model together, and you will have a chance to see our way of working and the basics of data science & machine learning.
In the second part of the case, you will try to improve the baseline model by exploring some modeling techniques we use on a day-to-day basis.
Knowledge of Python, Pandas, and Scikit-learn is appreciated but not required.
See you there!
