EVC's Xmas Xtravaganza

With Christmas songs popping up everywhere and the days becoming shorter and shorter it is evident the holiday season has started. Since all of us Thalians love getting together and having celebrations, we decided to load up the EVC delivery truck for one more round this year, but this time we will not only bring alcohol to your doorstep...

If you live in or near Nijmegen (see this beautiful work of art Thijs made) then you are in luck, because we will deliver you your very own Christmas box. Don't live close enough? No worries, you can still participate, but you will have to pick it up yourself at a later to be revealed pick-up location.

But what exactly will be inside this box you are asking. The top layer will contain Christmas themed snacks for you to enjoy during the main-event and the bottom layer will consist of closed of compartments all marked with a number from 1 to 4. This part of the box will function as a mini-advent calendar for you to open at the start of each new round of the competition. The secret attribute inside will be related to your task and for some rounds will even be unique.

You will be able to sign up as a team of 3 to 6 people (or sign up solo or as a duo to be matched randomly) and participate in our Christmas-themed activity consisting of four rounds. Each round you will be able to score points and the team with the most points will win a very cool and still very secret prize. The event will be hosted on gather.town alongside a complimentary live stream for presentational purposes.

The night will have the following rounds:

Round 1 - The Christmas Pubquiz round
Score points by answering as many questions right as you can!

Round 2 - The creativity round
Will your team withstand the time pressure and combine your individual attributes in a creative masterpiece?

Round 3 - The drinking game round
Santa brought you a drink and you will need it..

Round 4 - The Christmas Karaoke round
Hopefully, you used the previous round for lubricating your vocal cords!

Delivery information

Delivery of the boxes will be on 14th of December between 12:00-18:00

"FAQ"

1. Should every team member register separately?

Yes, because every registration is a Christmas box and thus also a delivery.

2. I don't have a team, can I still participate?

Yes, you can! We will randomize you with other solo/duo participants or, if not possible, add you to an existing team.

3. I have NDL during the delivery time-frame, what should I do now?

You can choose pick-up OR fill in NDL at delivery and then you can pick up your box on the way out. (We will be standing somewhere safe outside merc, keep in mind corona rules!)
