Batavierenrace

The biggest relay race of the world, the Batavierenrace, will once again be organised, albeit in remote form. So, have you started running out of boredom in the last few months? Or maybe since the gyms have closed? Or have you been a runner all along? Or are you looking for motivation to get started with running? Then we are looking for you!

For those who don't know the Batavierenrace: normally, it is a leg race of 175km from Nijmegen to Enschede, which you run with a team of 25 runners. Afterwards, there is an afterparty in Enschede, where you also camp for the night.

Unfortunately, due to Corona restrictions, the organisation committee has had to decide to host an entirely remote edition of the Batavierenrace. Each team, consisting of at most 25 members, runs a total distance of 125 km. The distance can be divided however we want. Everyone runs their own leg at their own moment on their own favourite running route.

So, that's the boring information part. Now for the hype! Even though it will be different than other years, we will form a team! So, we are recruiting runners! It won't cost you anything, you will get a free running shirt, and maybe even some training partners once that is allowed again!

Join our team by filling in this Google Form! The registration deadline is the 28th of February, 23:59.

For more information, you can check the Batavieren website. If you have a question, don't hesitate to send an email to bata@thalia.nu

We look forward to your registrations!
