Lunch lecture Ordina

Why secure software kicks ass

There is a lot of insecure software that’s open to people with bad intentions to access your systems and go straight towards your sensitive data. In this talk I will visualize the struggle of brainstorming about a security plan, and explain every step during the process of securing your software. I will use the belt colours found in the Taekwondo martial arts to address the various levels of having control of security in your software.

From a young unknowing white belt to a very mature black belt, we can map the first to no security at all, and the latter to a great security plan implemented in your software, processes and maintenance plan(s). I will use Java based examples during the presentation to highlight my goals and clear things up. In the end the attendee is able to define his own security plan maturity based on the Taekwondo belt colours. With this knowledge, he will be  able to define the necessary modifications to become a black belt security master himself.
