At Topicus we have several high profile web applications that serve thousands of users every day, Gynzy Kids, located in Nijmegen, is one of them. With multiple teams working on development it can be a challenge to ship code, especially when a lot of people are using your application, and you don’t want to disrupt them or slow them down. This requires embedding operations in your development teams, software architecture that scales (horizontally), multi-phased database migrations, automated testing and releasing of applications, services and containers and more. We will present you several real-world problems faced when scaling with Gynzy Kids to 500K active users.
