ASML at the foundations of realizing modern computing science

ASML is a producer of highly complex machines used in the production of computer chips. All modern complex computer chips (CPU’s, GPU’s, SoC, memory etc.) have been fabricated using one of our machines. This means that modern digital development - such as cloud computing, data centers, supercomputers, IoT and smartphones - would not exist without the edge-cut technology machines of our company. Computing science in all his forms is pivotal for many different aspects of the company. Among others: PLC embedded software, complex computational lithography applications, (machine) data science for feedback/analysis, and cybersecurity, required to protect our and our partners intellectual property in this highly competitive industry.
